Carol Weber Carol Weber is a Senior System Integration Engineer for Autonomous Hauling Systems at Caterpillar Surface Mining & Technology Division in Tucson.  In her 28+ years with Caterpillar, she has worked in all areas of product research, design, test and development of Caterpillar machine and engine products.  Carol first joined SWE in college, and became a Professional member of the newly chartered SWE Central Illinois section in 1993, becoming a Life member in 2014. At WE14, Carol was recognized as one of the inaugural recipients of the SWE Prism award.  Carol’s SWE career includes serving as Tucson Section Representative to Region B Council FY18, Region H Lt Governor FY15-FY16, and numerous roles in the Central Illinois Section.  At the Society level, Carol is an active member of the Finance and the Awards Committees.  Carol is excited to serve as SWE Tucson President for FY19.

Secretary Kati Barnes Kati Barnes earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.  Kati is a Senior Principle Systems Engineer and the Chief Engineer of a software development program at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, AZ.  During her 14 years at Raytheon, Kati has worked in the areas of signal processing and embedded software development.  She joined SWE in 2014 and served on the executive council for 2 years as secretary and is currently serving as Vice President and acting President.
Treasurer Nicole Lund Nicole Lund received her BS in Physics from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and then moved on to the University of Oklahoma to complete a MS in Meteorology.  For her thesis, Nicole investigated what types of hydrometeors were present in regions where lightning was initiated in thunderstorms.  Upon completing her degree, Nicole entered Raytheon's Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program, where she worked for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems in Boston, MA, Raytheon Technical Services Company in Indianapolis, IN and Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, AZ. After finishing the two year leadership program, Nicole chose to stay in Tucson and continue working as a Systems Engineer.  Nicole joined SWE in 2010 and became actively involved in her local SWEsection holding the positions of RUN dinner committee chair, Section Representative, Vice President, President and Treasurer.

Michelle works as an electrical design engineer for Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson. She graduated from Rice University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 and from Utah State University with an MS in Electrical Engineering in 2016.
University of Arizona SWE Counselor
Rebecca Primeau
Rebecca Primeau graduated from the University of Arizona with a BS in Psychology in 2007. Rebecca continued her education at the University of Michigan where she graduated in 2009 from the Center for the Study of Higher and Post-secondary Education with a MS in Higher Education. In her current position at the University of Arizona, Rebecca serves as the Assistant Director for Recruitment, Retention and Outreach in the College of Engineering. She oversees the enrollment process for all new students to the College of Engineering, with a special focus on bringing in more women. She is excited to report an increase from 19% to nearly 26% women in the incoming engineering class over the last 3 years. Rebecca also coordinates the Engineering Ambassadors program, as well as the Engineering Zone Living-Learning Community in Gila Hall. One of her favorite responsibilities, however, is her role as Counselor to the University of Arizona Society of Women Engineers. UA SWE is a passionate group of young women who are focused on their mission: to foster better ties among women in engineering and to empower them to succeed and advance in their careers as engineers.
