About the candidates:
 
President: Nicole Lund
Nicole Lund received her BS in Physics from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and then moved on to the University of Oklahoma to complete a MS in Meteorology.  For her thesis, Nicole investigated what types of hydrometeors were present in regions where lightning was initiated in thunderstorms.  Upon completing her degree, Nicole entered Raytheon's Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program, where she worked for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems in Boston, MA, Raytheon Technical Services Company in Indianapolis, IN and Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, AZ. After finishing the two year leadership program, Nicole chose to stay in Tucson and continue working as a Systems Engineer.  Nicole joined SWE in 2010 and became actively involved in her local SWE section holding the positions of RUN dinner committee chair, Section Representative and Vice President.
Vice President: Joyann Pafumi
Joyann Pafumi Brice is an Environmental Engineer at Climax Molybdenum ( Freeport McMoRan Company).  She has received her BS in General Engineering with specialization in Environmental from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI and obtained her MS in Environmental Sustainability from University of Edinburgh, Scotland UK.  Joyann has been an active SWE member since 2004, ranging in positions from Girl Scout Lesion to Collegiate Section President. Joyann moved from SWE Phoenix as past VP and Outreach Chair.  She previously served as Treasurer for SWE Tucson.

Treasurer: Elizabeth Sears

    Liz has been a SWE member since 2001 and works as a Machine Test Engineer at the Caterpillar Proving Ground in Green Valley, AZ.  Liz is originally from Minnesota and went to school at the University of North Dakota achieving a BS in Mechanical Engineering.  She started working at Caterpillar in Peoria, Illinois and initially was in the Engineering Rotational program for 15 months.  Liz has held several positions in college as well as professionally. These include Treasurer, President, Professional Development Chair in college, and Secretary and Treasurer of the SWE Tucson Professional Section.  Liz enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children ages 4 years and a year and a half.  She is looking forward to getting more involved with the SWE Tucson section.
Section Representative: Erin Boland
Erin Boland is a Sr. Multi-Disciplinary Engineer with Raytheon Missile Systems. Erin holds an MS in Physics from Penn State University with a concentration in High Performance Computing and a BS in Chemical Engineering, also from Penn State University. Erin started her career with Raytheon in Boston as a member of the Rotational Leadership Development Program. Her rotations included software engineering, where she worked on a radar software development team. From there she moved to materials engineering in Tucson, AZ where she worked on obsolescence management and materials property modeling. After finishing her second rotation, she moved to San Diego, CA where she worked on data fusion and scheduling algorithms. Erin joined the SWE Tucson Section board as the Professional Development Chair in FY 2013 and the secretary in FY 2014, and is looking forward to continuing her involvement with the executive board in FY 2015.
